In recent years, fraud has become a problem of increasing significance for all parties involved in real estate transactions.  Not only are individuals perpetrating these crimes, an ever-growing number of organized fraud rings is emerging, presenting an even greater threat to the real estate community.  In the past, mortgage lenders and consumers have had minimal tools available to them to protect themselves from losses associated with the real estate title fraud.  This all changed with the introduction of title insurance into the market.  Today, in many situations where loss is incurred as a result of fraud, consumers and lenders are protected from that loss by a title insurance policy.  Title insurance shifts the risk of real estate title fraud to the insurer for a very modest fee.  Please protect yourself.
