Nuit Blanche

Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, Toronto's free all-night celebration of contemporary art, is scheduled to return from sunset on Saturday, October 1st to sunrise on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011.  Residents are encouraged to come out and enjoy this event.

Road closures will be in effect due to expected attendance, art installations and efforts to promote a green, pedestrian-friendly event. Portions of Yonge St, Bay St, Queen St, and Queens Park Cr. will be closed to all vehicular traffic at specified times on Saturday, October 1st, and Sunday October 2nd, 2011.

Road Closure Details:

Yonge Street
Closed between Bloor St. and Front St., starting at 8am Saturday October 1st until 10am Sunday October 2nd.

     A portion of Yonge St. between Queen St. and Richmond St. will be closed earlier, starting at 1am Saturday October 1st in order to accomodate an artist installation.

     Most major cross streets will remain open and unaffected, including: Front St., Wellington St., King St., Adelaide St., Richmond St., Dundas St., Gerrard St., College St., Wellesley St., and Bloor St.


Queen Street
Closed between Victoria St. and University Ave., starting at 5pm Saturday October 1st until 9am Sunday, October 2nd

      An access lane will be setup on Queen St. W. between york St. and just west of Bay St. in order to maintain underground valet parking for the Sheraton Centre

     TTC streetcar service will be maintained for the duration of the street closure

Bay Street
Closed between Elm St. and Front St., starting at 6pm Saturday October 1st until 9am Sunday October 2nd.

     Portions of Bay St. between Edward St and Adelaide St. W. will be closed early starting at 1am Saturday, October 1st in order to accomodate carious artist installations.

     Most major cross streets will remain open and unaffected.

     Two way traffic will be maintained between Dundas St. W. to north of Alberta St. to accomodate 24-hhours access to the Marriot Hotel, Bell Trinity Square and the Toronto Eaton Center loading docks.
Access via Dundas St. W only.

Queens Park Crescent (north bound lanes only)
Closed between Charles St. W. and College St. starting 6pm Saturday October 1 until 7am Sunday October 2.
